The Ophthalmologists

All the doctors at Moreton Eye Group are trained to the highest international standards and are fully accredited by the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists – and in many cases by other international bodies as well. All the doctors hold a full fellowship in ophthalmology and are on the specialist register of the Australian Medical Board.

Our skilled and compassionate doctors continue to publish learned papers in international peer reviewed journals and speak at national and international conferences. We regularly attend major conferences to ensure our practice is cutting edge. All doctors need to keep abreast of our rapidly changing field. As a practice we take continuous education very seriously and our Doctors work collaboratively to provide care for all eye problems, big or small, simple or complex.

Dr Uppal is one of the very few private ophthalmologist in Queensland with vitreoretinal expertise who has reliable prompt access to private operating theatres for emergency cases, thanks to our close working relationship with the new Moreton Day Hospital. Dr Hogden is trained in the very latest corneal transplant techniques and Dr Alexander provides regular paediatric clinics. Dr Campbell specialises in medical glaucoma and the management of medical retina and Dr Martin is an experienced general ophthalmologist who can manage all referrals. Dr Hay-Smith is a high volume cataract surgeon with expertise in Minimally Invasive Glaucoma Surgery MIGS and a special interest in uveitis and retinal diseases.

Whatever the eye condition, the Moreton Eye Group will be able to assist.
